I was an Air Force brat who lived and grew up in the tropical country and archipelago called the Philippines. It was there that I was introduced to tomato and sweet potato leaves. They are very good blanched and dipped into a savory and tangy sauce. I also like to pour some of it on hot bed of rice. Perhaps you will like this flavor profile. You can also use it as a marinade. - Two parts low sodium soy sauce.
- One part lemon juice or vinegar.
- Quartered cherry tomatoes.
- Chopped scallion.
- Sesame seeds.
- Chopped serrano peppers.
