Kevin Sumlin's arrest from Oct 2023 is now on Law & Crime Net.

So sad to see him like this.

I hate seeing people that I follow struggle with poor decisions or addiction. Some people should never, ever, ever, drink.

Unfortunate. Feel for the man. Heard about the incident but never saw the video.

He couldn't even remember where he coached after A&M. Alcoholism is horrible.

However, her should NEVER have been behind the wheel. Glad someone was aware enough to potentially save some lives, including his.

Officer knew he coached at A&M.
Impressive.
He may have just lost his job where ever it is he's coaching at.

didn't make that comment about Sark after Dark? looks like that came back and bit him in a very public way...hope he finds the help he needs

I still remember that video of him where he was drunk and other people were carrying/helping him walk and how it was kinda covered up here that it wasn't him for sure. we all knew it was him...

Given past troubles, could be nail in the coffin of Kevin's career in my opinion. He was on the staff at Maryland.

Just in case some are unaware- this is from back in October. The video is just now public.

Is this the arrest during Maryland's season... In Florida? I remember at the time being very confused on how it went down.

When it's just a DUI arrest: I hope they get the help they need.

After killing a family of 4: throw em in prison for 30 years.

It's the same crime, just different luck.

Um...they didn't redact his mobile number. They did his DL. Guess he probably changed it.

This guy was an Aggie. He led us into the SEC with a bigger intro than any of us dreamed would happen. This was probably the lowest point of his life. We should be offering support not ridicule. It wasn't that long ago that Sarkisian was at the exact same point in his life. I would actually like to see us reach out & offer help to him.

The best part of the entire article is the "ex" part.

Good riddance.

he got millions of support from us. He could have used that to hire an uber. And he was an employee

This the guy that scoffed when OC Kingsbury negotiated to stay… what could have been. My god. I try not to think about it.

I wonder how that case shook out? He was sitting in his car in park. Wonder if a jury would agree he was "operating his vehicle?"

It was a weak case...

Geez I couldn't even finish watching that. Dude just keeps throwing his life away for booze. Not here to judge about drinking but you get behind the wheel and you deserve whatever comes at you.

If the keys were in the car or within reach…but he agreed to a plea agreement consuming one of his two lifetime deferred adjudications…

How did the car get there if he didn't drive it?!

It was really sad when Sumlin's eyes lit up when the cop recognized him as A&M's coach.

Quote:

Kevin Sumlin....? The ol' ball coach from A&M?

It's like a penniless person suddenly reliving the days when he was wealthy.

He can still turn his life around by just focusing on his work and staying away from booze.

Could have drove to the gas station. Got drunk/over limit there. Was obviously sitting there for a while texting recruits, etc
