I just read the thread about Dennis getting ready to slam the gulf coast. It is not funny to joke about these things. How would you like it if you had family or loved ones lose all their possesions in the storm? Worse yet, lose their lives?

How would you like it if a Bama fan came on this board and made fun of the bonfire tradgedy, and then said oh, its all in good fun? None of this is in good fun!

We both have schools with great traditions. We have both had the privledge of having Bear Bryant, and Gene Stallings walk our sidelines. No one knows how Dennis Franchione will do at aTm or how long he will stay. One thing to ponder, of his 22 recruits in 2002, only 4 have seen or will see significant playing time in 2005. His 2001 recruits have faired worse, 3 remain who play.

Theres a big difference between making humorous observatiosn about the fact that the hurricane is named Dennis and is maybe going to hit alabama, and mocking the fact that people were killed in a tragic bonfire collapse. The world is way to soft nowadays.

And you don't lose your lives if you evacuate like you are supposed to...and honeslty if you build your house in an area that gets hit by hurricanes and the such often, no one should really feel bad for you.

The author of this post registered today. It seems to basically be a flame given his name and the last paragraph of the note.

Cry-babies f everything up. Making a harmless joke on a message board has nothing to do with class. It's a strange funny coincidence that the hurricane is named Dennis, noting that and having a small chuckle doesn't make you a bad person.
