After recent trips to the Valley, I saw pink, purple, orange, black, and rust colored t-sip apparel. Needless to say, I surmise that the bulk of these people were NOT tu graduates.

Here's the kicker, many of the hats had Longhorns as "singular", not plural. As in "Go Longhorn." Most of them simply said "Go Long Horn!" (2 words). I surmise that the bulk of this merchandise was not officially collegiatey licensed material. I'm sure the 'sips are proud.

There ARE some good things about not having a bunch of t-shirt fans.

I can just see it now - hats that say, "Go Aggie!" (Hecho in Mexico)

You could get some good fake "Go Aggie" shirts down in the valley back when we were good. Trust me on this. I will rejoice the day when you see the vatos wearing "Go Aggie" shirts. It will mean we're back on the map.

The best shirt I saw was in San Antonio, when the Spurs were playing the Lakers in the playoffs: "Pinche Lakers!" (f. the lakers)

i am merely pointing out a lack of logic between the association of the perviously mentioned group's choice of apparel versus the liability of texas.

i havent insulted anyone here. a rational response will do.

I will also add that commenting on the status of a poster is hardly warranted. If a person does not post then the person cannot proceed in rank. hence the paradox of you requesting me not to post. if i cannot post then how am i to proceed.

this also applies to the premise of my post. i am only asking for an explanation. if one can be given then it would serve as an educational response. rather than what is occuring now, which is a negative enforcement towards new posters.

Yeah, what a horrible thing to have people without an affiliation to the school wanting to support you. People should be required to show their rings when buying A&M appareal to keep this going.

I am mexican so hopefully I don't offend anyone, but I speak the truth. The funny thing is, I see my people wearing the sip garb all over the place up here in Md. If I see landscapers, construction, road crews, etc. I tell the Mrs., I bet money we see some sip paraphanelia, and I'm rarely wrong.

Most of that merchandise is not Collegiately licensed, Texas doesn't know about it, and it probably has nothing to do with the longhorns. A longhorn head does not always mean t.u. I see girls wearing those tight shirts with longhorns on them all the time, but they are not for the sips. The longhorn head is as much a symbol of the state of Texas as it is for tu. Plus those shirts and hats you see them wearing are from the gas station and cost about 2 dollars. Most of those Mexicans in the valley don't care what it says, as long as it is cheap and covers them up.

This original post was one if the stupidest I have read in a long time. The poster is clearly an idiot that hold himself above poor hardworking people, and only he has the right to wear Fightin' Texas Aggie apparel.
