Sherman is still upset about the comments made about McGee but has not yet declined interest. Told Leach to wait and see how everything pans out and to not jeopardize his injunction lawsuit in the meantime.

I've heard the same agent as well as carrot top being hired as the new strength and conditioning coach. he'll be given the opportunity to coach the special teams if he call dial down the middle.

Early list of DC candidates includes Phil Bennett. List is very short.

Special teams coach will be HC at Lake Travis High School...he will also assist in recruiting. that one is already done.

Dont forget he nailed the Fran hiring before RC was fired.

He knew of Fran gate at least a week before it was made public.

He called Sherms hiring.

i'll post updates as i get them. i'd bet if this is going to happen, that news will be reported sooner than later. out of deference to cromwell, a&m will not entertain the media on this until nolan has officially been hired (by the way, three NFL teams are after nolan...one is in-state).

I'd love it, but I see no way any of the higher-ups would sign off on it.

Hell, according to Texags the 12th Man would lose half of it's annual donations if Mike Leach were ever to coach here (obviously not true but shows just how hard-headed Aggies are).

Leach was a great OC hire before Tech. Now he's been a head coach and has shown a propensity to buck authority, hog the limelight, be litigious and be generally ornery...well, I wouldn't want him working for me unless he was putting cold hard cash in my pocket hourly AND I could lock HIM up in a closet at the end of the work day.

If y'all hire were to hire Leach I'm sure it will be an entertaining media sensation, and through it all Mack Brown would sit there like the big ship on raging waters. Steady as she goes. Win with class.

I don't see Sherm running up the score on anyone in the last 5 minutes of a game. Which makes me wonder if Leach could tolerate that.

Although Leach might explore this, I can't help but think he really wants and needs to be a head coach. As a way of getting back at GM even by hinting or starting rumors, it's perfect.
