Either Robinson or Olajuwon...followed closely by Shawn Bradley...

Either Olajuwan or Drexler. Ultimately, I think when it's all said and done, Duncan will be on top (sorry Mavs fans).

Robinson was All-NBA and All-Defense every year until his injury, the first player to be on both until Duncan matched him.

Scoring title
Blocks title
Rebound title
MVP
DPOY
ROY
2 Championships
5 IBM Awards (most won by any player)
10 AS Teams
2 Gold Medals
NBA Sportsman of the Year (trophy now named after him)
SI's Sportsman of the Year
Naismith Award Winner
Wooden Award winner
Twice Consensus All-American
NBA's 50 Greatest players
Quadruple-Double
One of 5 players to score 70+ points in a game

That's not a bad resume. It is a good bit better than Gervin.

Hakeem but Duncan is catching up. Honestly, it's getting hard to defend Hakeem being better than Duncan in terms of production.

I'm a huge Robinson fan but he was absolutely embarrassed by Hakeem.

He also missed two years of his prime while serving the country.

Hakeem hands down, followed by Duncan.

Robinson is nowhere close to the player Hakeem Olajuwan was.

Akeem supports terrorists with his donations, Robinson built a school with his( Tiger Woods followed his lead btw)
Hakeem had two phenomenal years where he was the best big man. Robinson was a freak of nature- dude probably ran a 4.3 40 at 7'1
However, Tim Duncan is better than both and would have no problem stopping the "Dream Travel"

Wow, you do not know basketball. I'd rank Olajuwon one spot ahead of Robinson in the all-time list of centers, and the ONLY reason he's ahead of DR is that the Rockets won those two championships. Their numbers are VERY similar in every single category (Olajuwon has a SLIGHT edge in most), but Robinson missed three years of what should have been his prime (two serving in the Navy, and a third when he got hurt and only played 6 games).

The myth that Hakeem is head and shoulders above Robinson is just that- a myth. The numbers just don't support it, and if you watched them play, you can't say one was better than the other as far as dominating a game. They both could.

(Now is where the Rockets fans try to say that Hakeem embarrassed DR in that one series and that that means DR sucks and Hakeem is the greatest ever. Yes, Hakeem outplayed him in that series, and no, that is not indicative of their entire careers.)

Robinson would have had more titles than the 2 (same as Akeem) had he not had to support

David the Rapist Wingate
Avery "Jesus" Johnson
Terry 76 years old Cummings
Willie "I got one less kid than Shawn Kemp" Anderson
Vinny The Black
Sean 1 kidney Elliot
and he suffered through these coaches
Larry Brown
Jerry Tarkanian
Bob Hill
who am i missing?

David Robinson is an amazing player period end of story. He is not the greatest ever but he just might be the smartest and best person to ever play in the NBA

Hakeem was amazing to watch. Especially since he didn't start playing basketball until he was like 16 or so.

Toss up between Uwe Blab and Mike Iuzzolino with Hakeem close behind.

I have to go with MarkAg on this one, everybody else clearly is forgetting about a man named Michael Jordan. He has played in Texas plenty of times.

Hakeem gets the nod over DRob because of offensive playoff production. I'm not going to look it up, but I believe Robinson's playoff numbers are down from his regular season numbers. Duncan and The Dream both had better numbers in the playoffs vs their regular season.

Duncan will end up the best.
