Agreed. The NIT is not a death sentence for a program. Every team would rather make the NCAA Tourney (obviously), but if nothing else it will give Dash and Loubeau more time to develop.

BCG first year Nit, 2nd year NCAA, 3rd year NCAA, Turge 1st year NCAA, Turge 2nd year NIT...One was headed up and the other is headed down.

How many times do I have to say this? BCG had NBA 1st rounder, Acie Law all three years and then bolted for UK when he saw the handwriting on the wall. Turgeon had Deandre Jordan for one year and even he didn't play as well he was expected.
