But to give you a serious answer, nobody really knows for sure. He supposedly made his decision already and is just taking a couple of days to live with it before making it official. Some think he is a Husker lock, others think Aggie lock. It is really amazing how quiet he has kept his feelings. However, I don't think we have to wait much longer.

I posted on another thread last week that Cody Green was a lock for A&M but....

Rumor has it that sources deep within the program are leaning toward not picking up a QB at this point. They are leaning toward that LB or DE slot which we still need in a big way. I have a tendancy to to think this as well but a Green or Mossakowski pick-up should not be overlooked or denied. Ultimately Green's decision will depend on how soon he thinks he will be on the field just as it was Aundre Dean's to go to UCLA where he was promised to start this year and have an entire offense built around him (he wants to make a break to the NFL ASAP). IMO this is where Green's thoughts are as well and what he may have been told at NU on his recent visit. IMO his thinking might be going in the direction of "Do I want to play now or play later"...maybe much later....

Green has played QB for one season...That means he's going to have to redshirt no matter who he commits to.. He'll need at least a few years to develop if he wants to play in a pro-style offense.

He can always go to a school where they run a 4 receiver spread offense and that would make things easier for him but his chances of playing in the NFL would be slim to none. Even VY can't hack it.

Mossakowski is probably the better fit for what Sherman is trying to do. Green has a lot of upside b/e he's an extremely talented athlete.

huskerboard.com is very sure that he is a lock to them... hopefully they dont know what the hell they are talking about but my gut tells me this kid is gone...

With all the rumors flying around, it seems like he will pick the huskers, but I hope I am wrong.

Let's see. neb will probably start a fish QB this year that will be in front of Green for three years, unless he can beat him out. A&M starts a senior who will be gone.

kid was hurt last year and didnt play and he gets all kinds of stars and decorations? Saw him play as a soph and he was good but if he goes to neb. the sky wont fall, the earth wont spin off its axis, etc. LB and DLINE are far more pressing; imo.

Good luck to Cody wherever he goes. If it's NU, I'll be disappointed, I think it would be against a lot of what he stands for. I think he's a stand up family guy. I still think A&M is the best fit for him as it lets him stay unbelievably close to home. Whle both would be a decent fit for him, I think the good guys are the logical choice. However, I'm not Cody Green. Cody needs to make the choice that HE thinks is the best for him.

I would prefer a LB or DL over Green. As good an athlete as he is, he is probably not a college QB according to several people that have seen him play and we don't need anymore tweener guys this year. Just my opinion.

i think it may be a blessing in disguise when he commits to nu. we don't need a qb this year and that scholly is much more valuable to use on the d line or at lb.

don't forget that this time last year cody green was on no one's radar because he hadn't taken a snap yet...i'm sure there will be a cody green-esque qb in 2010...don't be so ignorant.

Looks like he is going to Nebraska. Taking his family with him up there for another visit in late July. That tells you all you need to know. Time to move on.

If thats true, looks like his family doesnt want to see him play. Hope he likes the cold.

If I had to choose between a project QB and a fast LB or pass rushing DE right now for this class, gimme the LB or DE. But I have had that same stance for awhile now. I want to see The Wrecking Crew back ASAP.

Where did you guys hear he is planning another trip to lincoln?

A friend from Lincoln just sent me an email mentioning something about him telling the local newspaper that he was going to NU. He said he would sent the link shortly.

That's awesome. VY, the AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year two seasons ago and first rookie QB to play in the Pro Bowl, has a sophomore slump, and now he "can't hack it" in pro football. Why do I get he feeling you were one of those saying "VY SUCKS!!" after his sophomore year at Texas? Keep it comin'.

vy sucked as a rookie too, so to say he slumped his sophomore season is misleading. his play has been consistent if nothing else.

But of course, he "sucked" as a rookie, which is why he was rookie of the year and played in the Pro Bowl. Makes perfect sense.

That rumor about the sister going to some class toward the end of July at NU is not a good sign.
