Both is always a good thing, even if it's so that maybe JJ can take snaps in the game if McGee starts it.

JJ should start. i honestly cant believe people want to keep McGee in when he has proven himself to be a bust time and time again. is it the skin color thing? are a lot of you guys from small sheltered redneck towns? i dont understand it. JJ is a good, level headed QB..

How can you people be so stupid?? Even if JJ were a tad bit better than McGee (I would disagree with that, by the way), don't you see that with JJ at QB we only have one WR??? Can't you understand how the team is better off with both of them on the field at one time?
Idiots!

So you think a QB who WON'T throw the ball plus a backup QB at WR is better than a QB who WILL throw the ball and our other WRs?
Why does it matter if JJ is a WR -- it's a catch 22 - if he's playing QB, who is at WR matters -- if he's at WR, it doesn't.

We have two solid receivers without JJ anyways. Fuller and Tannehill

I hope it's Johnson, but get creative having both on the field at times. As stated above, JJ gets rid of the ball and at least looks down field. McGee does not.

personally, I 'll support Coach Sherman's decision. But I have to wonder why is it that if McGee comes out healthy and throws a great game people will just dismiss it as a fluke like they do his other great games (tu 07&06, Neb 07 etc) but if JJ comes out and throws a decent game he will be hailed as the second coming of VY? There seems to be a double standard...

He led the team on one TD drive in the tu 06 game. The other TD was a 40 yard run by Goodson immediately following a turnover. I wouldn't count that on his list of great games. The tu game in 2005 would be a better example.

so we already have two dinged up qb's why would we throw jj at WR to risk anything? especially when he did so well in the UNM game?

Sherman has decided to settle it the old fashioned way. There'll be a knife fight behind Kyle field during midnight yell. Whoever is left standing gets the start. Whoever falls will have to "rub some dirt on it" and/or "walk it off."

Sherman can't make all of his decisions based on the possibility of people getting injured.
I think he is right in trying to get his best athletes on the field.
If the worst case scenario happens and the top 3 QBs on the depth chart can't play, then he'll play Dorman.
For all we know Dorman might have the most potential of the whole group.

SM if he is healed. If not JJ. I think if the O-line would give SM a little more time he would do well. Plus, MG needs them to open some holes.

I like Stephen, but I think Franny ruined him. He used to be such a good passer...
What I don't think is fair about your statement is that he pretty much single-handedly drove the team down the field for that "one TD drive". Did I mention that it was the GAME WINNING TD?! The guy pukes in the huddle, pulls himself together, and scores a TD. He WILLED it to happen. To short-change that performance isn't fair to him.
Having said that, Fran screwed him up bad. I have (and always will) rooted for McGee when he was playing, but he just won't throw the ball. He's too afraid of making a mistake to make a good play. I see Fran's conservativeness written all over that mindset. Jerrod would probably be better for the team at this point, but I support which ever one EARNS the spot.
