In 3 seasons Missouri has swept A&M ---> 2000, 2005, and 2006

and all 3 of those years were very bad ones. In fact the 05 & 06 sweeps at the hands of the Tigers started the downward spirals of both seasons. And woeful offense was the prime culprit.

A loss tomorrow drops A&M to 2-4 in the league (0-4 on the road) and sets up the rest of the season just trying to get to .500 in Big 12 play. And with a .278 team BA and 11 more conference road games that will be very difficult.

The coaches and players have to find a way to win tomorrow whatever it takes.

Maybe we need Crash Davis to get us a rainout...

A five game losing streak. Count me as one of those that didn't see this coming.

I didn't see it coming either. I KNOW we're better than what we're playing. I just wonder if the team knows it too.

Did that start include a sweep by what has been one of the crappier teams in the conference?

I am hoping this will turn out similar to last year when A&M started 3-3 (except we get out of the super).

I'm resurrecting an oldie, but goodie from the 2009 season when the Ags lost the first 2 games of their series in Columbia vs. the Tigers.

It worked back then and hopefully it will work again tomorrow. On that Sunday in 2009 the Ags scored the go-ahead run in the 9th inning via an unusual 2-base throwing error on the Tiger catcher as Brooks Raley was attempting to steal 2nd base.

That game also featured the highlight of Randall Thorpe's A&M career. A 3-run HR that tied the game in the 5th inning. Gonzo had 3 hits that day as well.

The Ags won 6-5 and, of course, the apocalypse was avoided

well, it wasn't quite the apocalypse in Columbia today, but a bizarre weather game nonetheless. Wow, the Ags managed to out-do their 2009 effort for high drama and excitement

his first AB as an Aggie was an absolute bomb.

IIRC, Randall Thorp was also a certer fielder, but we had Kyle Colligan for that position. He also had to sit out much of his first year because he interacted with an agent after his high school graduation. NCAA suspended him for 40% of the season.
