Bought this late last winter...have shot it at the range, but not yet in the field. May be taking a trip to Va in Nov (depending on how the Ags FB season is going) for the rut. Va's rut, which is more highly time sensitive in the mountains where I'll be, is only roughly 2 weeks long, of which the first week is muzzleloader only.

Muzzleloading is my next new bad habit.

Right after I trick out my bow with a few doo-dads, get a .450 Marlin and an SPS-T thumbhole 870, and...

I'd also like to take up flyfishing.

Sigh. I need more money.

By the way, this is the one that I got screwed out of in the raffle last spring at the NWTF banquet.

Fly fishing is for spoiled people who have too much money and don't really like to fish. And they gotta have all the gay gear, wooden landing net, G.Loomis $400 8 wt rod, tippets, felt boots, cheesy hats, and microscopic flies they tied themselves. All to catch a shipload of 6in brook trout. Mostly, anyways

Now saltwater flats flyfishing I could get into..bonefish, tarpon, pompano, red/specks...

I live too far from the sea, but I live right in the middle of some great trout streams.

My problem is that there will probably ALWAYS be a gun I want more than a fly rod, AND fishing is just something to do in between hunting seasons.
