Howdy, I'm an RA in the dorms and I just got word that some Tech students are going to attempt to crash tonight's midnight yell. I haven't gone to see if anyone else has posted this online, but if you're a traveling Ag for this weekend's game, make sure to be careful.

Essentially they have directions to where midnight yell is. I hope this is a joke, but being that this is Tech - one can never be too certain.

I would never wish harm onto any students, but when it's Tech..........eh, can't they all just get strep throats for an extended period of time.

Typical, they'll come all &^^$%$ed up. Yell and cuss and then a couple will get their asses kicked, they'll complain we are classless for kicking their asses, oh traditions.....

A big group of them showed up in '05, but the police had them barricaded a hundred yards or so away. The Yell Leaders cranked the PA up to max volume so you really couldn't even tell they were there.

i just remember wanting to kill one of their saddle*****s at midnight yell before the 99 game. they were throwing what looked like full beer bottles at the yell leaders.

that same night we lost our ride back to the hotel so we got a ride from some random old ag.. he gave us each a shiner bock - we were all under age.

and that, right there, is why i love being an Aggie. the dirtmonkeys throw beer, and we drink it!

To be fair, that's what they do every Friday night, whether it's a Yell Practice or church bingo night.

This group has 62 members and i bet not even half show up. Midnight yell before t+1 last year at the capital had a couple hundred sips trying to 'crash' it. tceh tards do not worry me.

If it makes you feel better, one of their saddle tramps got arrested that night in 1999 for allegedly throwing his cowbell "at" the yell leaders. It went over behind the stage.

That saddle tramp later got invited to not be a saddle tramp anymore.

They'll be disappointed to find out that Midnight Yell is open to everyone.

Yeah, our last time to Lubbock a large contingent came and was kept a couple of hundred yards away by polic while we did Midnight Yell. We hardly even noticed the losers.

Lubbock's finest do keep them away during Yell. Their bell is kept even further away and we were not able to hear it the last time I was there (four years ago.)

I expect he same tonight up there.

My family was there for that. And yes, they were full BOTTLES of beer. A 67 year old man in front of us was hit in the head and knocked out. That was about the point that they loaded up Reveille and my dad made my mom and I go to the car and he and lots of other Aggies commenced to beating the crap out of a few Tech students

its tech. happens every time.

They did this when I was down there in 2003. To their credit I couldn't even hear the yell leaders, the Tech fans were so loud.

There were a couple guys throwing ice into the aggie crowd, but there were soooo many police there that it was taken care of real quick. Thats the only thing worth mentioning that I remember about it.

I have been before when they just come super drunk, yelled a lot about guns up, and were kind of innoculous.

Was good bull, really. We just yelled BTHOtt over and over and over again. Good rivalry stuff.

However, throwing stuff and starting fights is not cool. I would not want to be part of that.

I know a Lubbock police officer. His brother and I are good friends. If he's there, then feel safe. He's not a big fan of techtards.

like i said, just come to tech packing heat, and you wont have to worry about much if you flash it around enough
