The most popular question since launching the TexAgs Podcast has been "What the heck is a Podcast?". A Podcast is two things really: first, and most importantly, it is a talk radio style audio program. It is distributed in the form of a simple mp3 audio file and can be downloaded to your computer and played with any audio player (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, etc.).

Secondly, and what makes a Podcast unique, is the ability for individuals to subscribe to any future audio programs that are published for a given Podcast. There are programs, like iTunes and iPodcast, that allow you subscribe to a Podcast so that new programs are downloaded to your computer (or iPod) without your intervention. It's basically a radio style audio program that comes to you.

Don’t be scared off by the fancy sounding term Podcast. If you can listen to audio on your computer you most likely can listen to the TexAgs Podcast. Just download an episode to your computer and enjoy.

For Advanced Users: to subscribe to future TexAgs Podcasts, add the following link into an aggregator (like iTunes, iPodder, etc.):

08/11/2006 TexAgs Radio - Episode 1
TexAgs Radio debuts its 2006 football show with the crew (Brandon, Hunter and Travis) discussing the Aggies’ season, OU’s Big Red scholarship program, the new Legend of the Fall (aggiegrant), players to watch, and plans for the show. The “TexAgs; We know stuff!” mantra is now extended to football conversation that Corso and Herbstreit would be proud of. Look for this weekly nugget to improve during the season as we expect to delve into some real Fightin’ Texas Aggie Football (finally), and we’ll add some guests to improve the sobriety of the participants.

02/03/2006 The 12th Man Sue-per Bowl
Before you say (or type) another word about the "12th Man" trademark controversy, you might want to listen to this episode first. Hosts Brandon (WatchOle) and Thad (heythad97) speak with three intellectual property attorneys and Texas A&M’s very own CMO and VP of Communications Steve Moore to compile the most thorough examination of the dispute to date. Mr. Moore outlines the reasoning behind A&M’s legal suit against the Seattle Seahawks and helps us understand why the current actions are necessary, while Aggie attorneys Chris Kling (’73), Stephen Mason (’99), and Ronald Liu (’00) explain trademark law and dissect the “12th Man” lawsuit. This is an episode you don’t want to miss.
