Sunday Recruiting Notes
Let's start with some stuff on some of the visitors this weekend first off Michael Fasusi did indeed end up stopping through Texas A&M this weekend. There was some thought he might since he was with the Cali Power group this weekend and in talking to a few DFW sources it sounds like it was a productive visit for the Aggies. There has been a lot of Texas smoke there, but the Aggies continue to make a strong push with coach Elko and Cushing leading the way. The competition is going to be tough but I do continue to hear the Aggies are a real contender. Anna (TX) 2027 OL Peyton Miller made the trip to College Station this weekend. He received his Texas A&M offer in January and this was his first trip to campus. He was able to meet with coach Cushing and his attention to detail caught his attention. We will have more from him later, but he spoke highly of the trip and practice and overall culture at Texas A&M. DeSoto 2025 edge defender Keylan Abrams does not hold an offer but he has been communicating with coach Bateman, coach Tony Jerod-Eddie, and analyst Alex Garwig. He is a bit undersized and a bit of a tweener at around 6-1, 205, but he is highly productive, explosive, and violent for one of the state's top defensive units. He was the 6A Def POY this year and was a dominating presence from beginning to end He said "I loved A&M. The culture is different now that the new staff is there." Duncanville 2025 OL and Baylor commit Desean Bryant was back in College Station again. He visited for Junior Day before the dead period and he was in town Saturday to watch practice. He mentioned how fast paced it was and how much competition there was throughout the day. He said, "What had most of my attention is how all the guys and coaches want to win. Like they want to be the best team in the SEC." Temple (TX) Lake Belton 2026 athlete Davion Peters was also among those in town. His offer list is already getting long and he kept an eye on the Aggies offense. "The biggest takeaway was their offense," Peters said. "I liked how they have lots of different formations of where the receivers lineup and don't just stick to one side. And I like how there's lots of different opportunities for athletes. The coaches coach very hard from what I seen at the practice and make sure you're doing the little things right." I caught up with a few guys yesterday at the True Buzz The Show March Madness 7-on-7 in DeSoto yesterday. Deondrae Riden was out there hanging around, taking in the sights and it is safe to say he was in the ear of a few targets out there. Red Oak's Taz Williams was one of those out there. He will be in College Station on Tuesday and he has already locked in his OV. The Aggies are definitely a team to keep an eye on in this race. I won't call the Aggies the leader but I don't think they take a backseat to anyone. Coach Wiggins is leading the Aggies' recruiting efforts and has established a strong bond there.Riden plans to return to College Station next weekend for what is already setting up to be another big visit weekend and he will take his official visit the weekend of June 6. Texarkana (TX) Texas High 2026 RB Tradarian Ball told me he does plan to get to College Station this spring. He does not have a date but area recruiter Holmon Wiggins is hot on his trail. The Aggies seem to have some ground to make up there with Georgia and Texas standing out a bit right now. Allen (TX) 2026 CB Lebron Bauer also said he plans to visit Texas A&M this spring. Dallas (TX) South Oak Cliff 2026 OL Brison Ramsey-Brooks said he will visit Texas A&M on March 30. He will be joined by SOC teammates 2025 LB Jayden Shelton, 2025 DE Kamauryn Morgan, and 2026 LB Jamarion Phillips. South Oak Cliff 2025 OL Emeka Ugorji plans to visit April 13 and SOC 2026 WR Jaylen Moore plans to be in College Station for the spring game on April 20.

Around Texas: A round-up of recruiting news in the Lone Star State
Signing Day has come and gone, but there is no time to rest. The focus has fully shifted from 2024 prospects to the class of 2025, and there has already been plenty of action on the Texas recruiting trails as the offseason ensues.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
