Who cares where you stay, just:

1. Go into the candle shop next to the Brewery and ask for a Porter to go....
2. 10 mins later, repeat step 1
3. 10 mins later, repeat step 2
4. 10 mins later, repeat step 3
5. 10 mins later, repeat step 4
6. 10 mins later, repeat step 5
and so on....

It really makes shopping main street bearable, and it is the best damm Porter you will ever drink!!

My t-sip SIL owns and operates a fabulous place on Main Street in Fredricksburg. Spacious, gracious, and Aggie friendly. I think they have a two-night minimum. You won't find a classier place or one with any more amenities.

Down the road in Comfort is one of the best B&B I've stayed at (25+ over a decade or so). The Haven River Inn is right on the Guad. and a short trip to I-10. There's a golf course across the street and a mountain bike trail not too far away (if that's your thing).
