What's with all this flip flopping news. Someone is going to look like a bad reporter after the truth comes out.

I just want this whole realignment business to be over, with the Ags in the SEC without t.u. or Oklahoma.
I don't know, but sometimes I feel Liucci himself is against the SEC move. Frustrating.
Not worried...we're playing chess with the sips. If we say we are still considering it makes it harder for the sips to back out of the Pac-1, not that they want too. We need to wait until tt and tu have announced they are going to Pac-10 before saying anything official. tu is leaking this to put pressure on us from the Texas Lege.

Not me. I want OU with us. tu can play with Stanford...and enjoy it by themselves...
I'd rather OU go to the PAC-10. The benefit to us outweighs the negative impact OU going to the SEC would have on the sips.
The legislature isn't in session. There's nothing they can do right now. I suppose an emergency sesion could be called and some hasty bill written up that would prevent whatever Texas schools from going to different conferences, but time isn't on their side if that's what it's coming to.
And in any case, they wouldn't have to rely on press leaks to get their info.
It still feels to me like we're leaving all options open while leaning heavily toward the SEC, giving the SEC time to keep putting pressure on Texas/OU while preventing solid agreements to be reached on the PAC side of the negotiations. Things are probably still pretty wide open officially, though I don't doubt that we have handshake agreements in place.
And in any case, they wouldn't have to rely on press leaks to get their info.

...and again, let me say to the poster above and anyone else who gets the feeling that I am pulling strongly for the Pac-10: My preference IS the SEC BUT, unlike most of you, I believe that a Pac-16 with A&M, Texas, and OU in it would also be a great thing for Texas A&M athletics. I guess it's getting confusing because I won't jump on the "We're going to the SEC" bandwagon before it's actually true...and this is FAR FROM A DONE DEAL (even though a decision will probably be reached by mid-week, there's A LOT of discussion to be had by the decision-makers). If it seems like I'm raining on this SEC parade, it's simply because I'm reporting the news and not getting ahead of myself or caught up in the excitement yet. With all that said, it goes without saying that momentum seems to have shifted in the SEC's favor for the first time since the process started (this happened over the weekend).
Liucci, what do you think the positives of the Pac 16 are? I have my own thoughts, but you are more well versed than I.

Barely had those statements been made than officials at Texas A&M denied the Aggies’ had commimtted to the SEC or spurned the Pac 10.
