The following is a release from Texas A&M Athletics:

DENTON, Texas – The No. 12 Texas A&M softball team launched three long balls to cruise past North Texas, 11-1, Wednesday night at Lovelace Stadium.

Texas A&M (34-9) jumped in the driver’s seat towards run-rule territory plating two runs in the opening frame and six in the second inning. North Texas (25-19) spotted the Aggies a run after four-straight walks to start the game, followed by an RBI groundout. The Aggies terrorized the Mean Green with six two-run outs that was capped with Allie Enright hitting her 10th home run of the season.

After being held scoreless in the third inning, Texas A&M extended its lead with back-to-back round trippers from Julia Cottrill and Trinity Cannon. Cottrill sent a two-run dinger over the center field fence for her ninth home run, while Cannon registered her team-leading 11th home run.

It marked the 14th multi-home run game of the season for the Aggies and the eighth game with at least three taters.

Emily Leavitt (9-1) pitched 4.0 scoreless innings and struck out four batters, while yielding two hits and keeping the Mean Green from reaching third base.
