Let me put it this way, I rather be the #9 seed if OU is the #8 then be a Top 8 Seed and have teams like Wake Forest, East Carolina, Florida St. Oregon St., Mississippi St. etc. as the host of our paired regional. They do not deserve a Top 8

wouldnt be so quick to put Oklahoma in the top 8. B12 was #3 RPI conference in 2022 and their league champion got sent to college station as a 2 seed. Really depends whose on the committee.

The SEC finally updated their standings on the website so Georgia and South Carolina W's & L's are correct

Q: why doesn't Florida go out and "buy" a home or away game for Tuesday to hopefully pick up an extra W and give a little wiggle room? They've only played 51 with 3 remaining

Thanks! Makes sense. I started looking it up after reading your response, and I'm surprised at how many teams have a game Tuesday.

The teams I was going to suggest (Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, FIU, Jax State) all had games already scheduled. I had (wrongly) assumed most were like us when I asked my question

Good thing our AD was on the selection committee. That really helped us a lot.

and the other thing about 2015...

A&M went 2-1 at Hoover -- so the Ags took care of business

that particular committee loved mid-majors
