The fact that we have Pepsi products is embarrassing.
Obviously, they gave John Sharp the bigger kickback.

Subpar, overpriced concessions is an Aggie tradition. It's something we are #1 in, many years in a row.

Congrats Levy.
It's not just A&M. EVERY venue is way overpriced. The San Antonio rodeo charged $20 for a turkey leg. Good thing I don't like turkey!
You know it's Emu, not turkey right?

If it is on the contract I don't think it is a kickback Pepsi paid A&M lots of money to be the exclusive Soft drink supplier
Hyatt Hotels has a similar arrangement and the only thing I don't like about staying at Hyatt properties

Reminds me of when food service switched coffee contract to Starbucks which is possibly the most rot-gut coffee in existence.

Would love to know who gets the kickback for making bad decisions.

How hard is it to do what people like?

Starbucks is the most popular coffee brand in the country, wouldn't call that a bad decision.

I've always thought any place that goes with Pepsi over Coke doesn't really care that much about their clientele or their experience, and is only motivated by money.

It totally makes sense that Aggie sports sling Pepsi.

The band boosters at a Texas 2A Jr high game have better concessions than A&M.

Kyle Field concessions are embarrassingly bad and show absolutely no signs of ever getting better. The "exclusive" offerings in the clubs are even worse. It's just so very bad. The admin obviously doesn't give one iota about it because people have been complaining for years and nothing changes. Why people continue to buy anything other than maybe the hotdog truly confuses me.

I don't think it is the same at all. Starbucks is very popular. Pepsi is NOT popular in the South. These companies get exclusive contracts with Pepsi because Pepsi gives them a great deal to be exclusive and block Coke.

The school collects concession feee which is why they are called concessions. Sharp collects a cut for the school at contract signing. The amount over the contract was $50 million total according to one report I saw net proceeds to the university. It isn't paid to Sharp directly but I have no doubt there are incentives in his contract related to those revenue streams.

I'm guessing Coca Cola won't commit to paying for exclusivity and Pepsi did.

I've had season ( 2 ) tickets in the All American club since they made the AA club. I've already made the decision that this year is my last in the AA club unless they wow me with edible food and good beer choices this season. My tentative plan is to get south end zone tickets next year. They are cheaper ( 5K cheaper) and the food and beer choices are better. The exercise walking up the spiral ramp to the end zone is also good for me and the grandkids.

Until you have to wait to enter the ramp because it's shoulder to shoulder. A half our later though you'll be ground level

Seems like the concession stand missed the mark with only offering Diet Pepsi! It's all about those fan favorites, like Diet Dr. Pepper, right? Hopefully, they'll take the feedback on board for next time! Maybe they need a new drink czar to mix things up a bit!
