Louisville's leading scorer Mike James will enter the transfer portal, 247Sports has learned. James appeared in 32 games this past season. He averaged 12.6 points and 5.0 rebounds on 34 percent shooting from long range.
James' decision comes in the wake of Louisville parting ways with head coach Kenny Payne. A redshirt sophomore, once James selects his next university, he will have two years of eligibility remaining.
A 6-foot-5, 200-pound wing out of Orlando (Fla.) James originally committed to Louisville under former head coach Chris Mack. He chose the Cardinals out of a final list that included Texas A&M and Virginia Tech.
