James' decision comes in the wake of Louisville parting ways with head coach Kenny Payne. A redshirt sophomore, once James selects his next university, he will have two years of eligibility remaining.

A 6-foot-5, 200-pound wing out of Orlando (Fla.) James originally committed to Louisville under former head coach Chris Mack. He chose the Cardinals out of a final list that included Texas A&M and Virginia Tech.

Belmont sophomore Cade Tyson will enter the transfer portal, 247Sports has learned. Tyson appeared in 31 games and averaged 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game this season on 46.5 percent shooting from long range.

A 6-foot-7, 205-pound forward out of Monroe (N.C.) Tyson finished fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference in three-pointers made per game during the regular season.

His efforts earned him Second Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors.

It may indicate their NIL program is lacking. Some guys are just going to chase the biggest payday.

I still think one goal of entering the portal is to draw a bigger NIL offer from your current team - not sure how often than actually happens (bigger NIL deal awarded at current school due to this threat to leave) so I could be wrong.

And just to see what's out there. Obviously there's a lot of tampering going on and players probably have a good idea of what's out there but still, might as well get your name in the portal and do it above board.

Agency is about choices. NIL is married to agency because the schools are indirectly directly involved in it. It will remain inefficient and jarring and will benefit the athlete more than he school.

No reason if we have the means not to participate. But the portal and NIL aren't the same thing but the NCAA as an organization is unlikely to solve with its current approach even with Charlie Baker's surprising proposal.

So whatever we do needs to remain flexible and may change frequently. I hope Trev and Buzz can piece together a flexible approach until the terrain settles. Calipari hasn't and it's about to cost him his job from everything we can see.

46.5 % from behind the arc on 172 attempts which is more 3 pt attempts than Jace had. That's definitely worth a look. 6 ft 7 and good all around stats. There's going to be a market for that guy.
