How huge was that Sorrell home run now? Freshman is a stud and future star.
Real talk: winning 8-12 vs 4-12 certainly FEELS different, but does it actually make a difference in rankings or whatever? Is a win a win, or does the quality of the game matter?

No, thankfully not. Win is a win. But it sure is frustrating watching us burn two extra pitchers for no good reason. Every win in SEC play is precious. Sometimes, it's best not to get cute and trot out guys to get em some time. That's what the midweeks are for IMO.
Again, great win, love the Ags… but man… these pitching decisions by Schloss confuse the hell out of me at times. But yes, that's also why he's paid millions of dollars and I watch at home on my couch haha. He clearly knows something I don't.

I think that we will see that less in April and May as coach is probably going to be less likely to turn the game over to pitchers that haven't proven themselves.

8-12 feels different than a 0-1 win, too. But the record and computers don't care either way, either.

Yall we had an 8 run lead. Pulling Sdao guaranteed he's available tomorrow. Low stakes opportunity for Smith to take a step or two forward. I don't hate the decision by Schloss. I actually like it. Bummed Smith didn't capitalize, and I suspect it's the last we'll see of him on a weekend for a while.
