Not take Christopher out at all. He was doing fine.

Cortez did a great job but had lost command of his fast ball. And a homer makes this a game.

Counterpoint, last year we really did have to scratch and claw for wins more often. Maybe he's getting more comfortable playing the long game this year.
Counter-counterpoint. This year he's pitched Asch with large leads in non-leverage situations to secure a dub. There are lots of ways to skin the cat and he doesn't do it the same all the time, but you want to win this game up 4 in the 7th. You're not making a decision here to save an arm imho.
