Most of my special moments concerning Aggie sports have taken place at Olsen Field. This one is close to the top.

Agree. That was Story Book ending. Props to Schloss for giving that opportunity. Big props to Ryan for coming through.

The stands started buzzing as soon as Earley came out to take Ryan's place and we all knew what was happening.

As he walked to the plate, he got a standing ovation and the crowd started chanting his name.

When he hit that gapper, Olsen exploded.

Targo the hug dispenser became Targo the dogpile recipient at the end of the game on Senior Day, coming through in the clutch for the team.

You love to see it. He will remember this forever, and I'm pretty sure we all will too. Definitely a top 10 Aggie sports moment for me.

And what an interview. Very humble young man. He will go far in anything he chooses to do.

With all the pick off attempts, I called my kids in and explained to them Targac's place on the team….and the number 12 …even in baseball….Ryan was a team leader and doing what the coach needed….etc….great teaching moment……he's now in in all the tv frames from the pick offs….I'm also. from Lavaca Co stock…

Called the kids back in …including my oldest and freshman to be when Schloss tapped Targac…..kids were glued! I couldn't even speak….I believe the commentators even said "emotional"

That was unforgettable!

One of my favorite happenings in all of Aggie sports. And like dermdoc, I've seen a lot over the years. This may well be my favorite one.

My kiddo and I watched it, all smiles! Loved the hats, and then the sunglasses at the end. He was soaking it up!

I'll admit, I did cry.

My wife and I were in the stands and we both were choked up. Took us a minute or two before we could speak about it. What a moment for him...so glad he delivered.
