He misspoke. AggieYell mods interviewed him again and he clarified that he did not have an LSU offer.
Buddy of mine has seen him play. Reports are a non stop motor, and willingness to work in the weight room. Better than Reggie Wilson IMO, better motor, apparently has better lateral movement. Wilson has a better "frame" but if you want production this kid is the real deal.

Eh, by "motor" and "work in the weight room", they're talking about his work ethic and what not, santanahorn...I don't believe that is an area in which rivals.com neccsarily puts a focus on. It's too personal and quite an intangible thing, which talent agencies can't nor won't spend the time needed to evaluate.
By all accounts except your's, the kid is just starting to really mature and putting in a ton of work to get as good as he can...and that work ethic relates to going hard, hard, hard every play on the field.
His stats certainly back up that point.
There are kids every year that emerge from the shadows out the result of things such as "effort"...maybe Stansbury is one of those kids.

I do not understand your mentality - more worried if the kids recruited are "thugs" or "good guys". If the kid can play, why do you care if he listens to Ice-T or Merle Haggard?

Agree. No one had a problem when Jorrie Adams and Mike Goodson were recruited, and look how the turned out.
I guess being a highly recruited, top-ranked thug is okay to some people.
Yea, look what the thugs have done to tu, ou, florida, etc,.. Those MNC's are sooo overrated! I'd rather trade places with Rice, Duke and Navy. Their kids are real smart and stuff!
don't think his 'hugness" is that big of a deal....we all know that Sherm makes character a big issue....and if it starts to become an issue, the Aggie coaches won't stand for it
I'm sure some of you wouldn't approve of the "thug mentality" of a few Aggies in the past with last names Wallace, Batiste, Coryatt, Buckley, Holland, Roper... they had a swagger and attitude that you may not have approved of.

Of the guys you mentioned, Roper was the only real thug in that bunch.
