Hey Everybody, especially UT fans -

The guys is a great athlete and much smarter than the Wonderlick test gives him credit for -he makes good football field decisions. But he still has a long way to go. His legs are his saving grace right now, but that's part of the VY package.

I never thought that the Titans were that bad in spite of their record last year. Fisher is a good coach. In other words, he's not on a terrible team ala Troy Aikman in '89. He'll get better, by how much, who knows. Too hard to predict. For now here are the facts, first, the Titans are a better team than last year and second:

Objectivity haven't you heard? QB rating means nothing. Vince can actually make DE's wrap up on tackles better, kickers kick further, CB's intercept passes, and hell even the cheerleaders perform better. That's how good he is. Everyone magically gets better just by his lone presence on the field. It's amazing.

he inspires people. i can't deny that. he's definitely an asset.

In addition, Vince got lost on the way to his remedial change counting class at Texas and stumbled into the physics department. He wasn't in there 5 minutes before his presence actually caused tu researchers to discover simple and reliable cold fusion technology.

He is the best. The nashville titan fans are in for a beautiful ride.

For once I agree with a patch. With that pathetic QB rating he's definitely just "alright".

definite bust. Prolly released after this season. Hopefully, he'll get his act straight in the CFL

When he got to Nashville, Peyton Manning was the king quarterback in the hearts of all Tennesseans. Now, he's beaten both Peyton and his little brother, and done it in Elway fashion - coming from behind.

The front page of the the HC sports page has the numbers today.

The most important one is the Titans W-L record for Vince's starts 5-4, 5-2 since losing the first two to two of the best teams in the league.

Meanwhile, we're stuck with the biggest lemonn since Ryan Leaf.

It is extremely important to the TexAnnes franchise to win this coming Sunday. A second loss to Vince this year will empty the place for the rest of the year. We'll become a bigger joke than the Arizona Cardinals (who won by the way, because they drafted a good QB). Even their future looks better than ours. I love Vince, but I'll be pulling for the TexAnnes. Houston fans desperately want a winning football team. What we have is devestation.

You Orange Colored Buffoons need to remember that Travis Henry has been the real reason the Titans have become resurgent. Vince is the popular choice, but his numbers are marginally average. But nobody give credit where credit is due...ala Travis Henry.

Vince is a gifted athlete, but will not be able to win consistently in the NFL.

Dub, I was hoping for a strong franchise in houston, but the texans ownership is just going to have to get what they deserve. If they didn't see the leadership, poise and the possibilities of Vince, then they really shouldn't even be in the football business regardless of anything they might have accomplished BV.

They should have supported the team that ended up leaving town. And don't say it was because they hated the owner. Just think of how many people hate(d) Jerry Jones but still supported the organization.

Ski and TVM - It would be a lot more fun if Houston had a decent team to support. It was bad enough when we were the pro version of the Aggies for years. Now we're the pro version of Baylor.

After the Rockets first championship we were the first defending champion in a generation not to immediately sell out season tickets. When the Oilers had the longest streak of seasons making the playoffs while playing in one of the smallest stadiums, we never sold out unless some company would buy up the tickets so it could be televised.

Having said all that, it is not an indictment of Houston (except as a sports town). Maybe we have better things to do than a worship a bunch of millionaire prima donas. Maybe we would rather honor our Mother on Mother's Day then go to a basketball game. I freely admit that for pro sports I am an unabashed unashamed fair weathered fan.

I guess I should cheer up. Things could be worse. Hicks could trade franchises with Drayton, and Isiah Thomas could be hired to run the Rockets.

No way the football team could be worse though.

EDIT: Yes Dub, if we had better teams it would be fun. I had a blast attending two NLCS games and one WS game! However, I haven't made a regular season Astros game in the last two seasons. I am the epitome of a Houston pro sports fan.
