As a 49er fan, I agree that Kyle Shanahan should have stuck with the running game, but I also think that fumbled punt by Ray-Ray McCloud that led to 7 points for the Chiefs was the biggest miscue.

I corrected my comment. The ball ricocheted off Darrel Luter's foot, forcing Ray-Ray McCloud to try and make a play on the ball.

I've always thought this rule was a bad one, the ball touches a player who is not trying to receive it, has no idea where it will land, and is engaged in blocking the opponent but it is a free ball??

Looks to me like you're missing what the video creator is missing (or trying to make others miss).

They didn't get/give them a first down on the play before the clip starts. You can clearly see yardage marker on the sideline indicate 2nd or maybe 3rd down on the Mahomes scramble. Also, you see where the TV has the blue first down line on the field but no chains. So it was 3rd and 1 or short. Not 1st and 10 like the TV showed.

No. The TV was wrong. The play ending at the start of the clip was short of a first down.

I saw at least 10 they let go - 3 on one play even

Must be nice to be top 5 in the league in holds then magically your tackles improve ....

Wilks was let go. Wasnt really the defenses fault that game imo. But guess soemone needed to get fired
