Looking to buy a 2025 Camry XLE this summer and considering going through CR program buying guide to do the search and their relationship with dealers has anyone done this and if so how was the results? Live in the Houston area and have bought a number of cars from Fred Hass, but thinking about looking elsewhere.

My dad used to read Consumer Reports before buying a new refrigerator in 1987.

I would never use them today to help me buy a new car. I also am no fan of the concept of using "their relationship with dealers" to make a purchase. The concept of using a broker doesn't sit well with me.

I'd go Costco Auto buying service before CR.
