It's costing them this season. Seems like since the early 2000's the Braves have become very reactionary in their moves.

Braves take game 1 vs Cleveland. Sale with a good start and Ozzie had two hits in his return.
Minter gets his 5th win on the season as Austin Riley walks us off in the 10th.
Johnson just struck out the side in the bottom of the 7th. He threw 18 pitches, 17 of which were curveball.
What a terrible road trip. Surely the bats will wake up soon. Right?

The family and I went to Braves Fanfest at Truist in January. I won the kiddos bobbleheads by hitting 2 wedges closer to the pin at virtual golf Topgolf than Kerr. He was a super nice guy, but I hope he pitches a hell of a lot better than he golfs.
His numbers in AAA show he had been quite unlucky as his xFIP is a good bit lower than his ERA and FIP. Matzek has struggled so maybe he isn't really healthy.

Bounce back win tonight vs the Cubs. Lopez with another strong start. Minter got the save this time after blowing it vs the Mets.
Happy to see Snit throw Minter back out there! He made it interesting in the 9th, but a huge double play helped!
Another shut out for the Braves, 7-0. Harris and Olson went deep. Sale with 7 shutout innings.

Yeah, it's time to have a pretty serious team meeting and get these guys to wake up. Can you believe that this team hasn't scored double digit runs since March 30! They've only scored more than 5 runs twice over the last month! Sure there have been some injuries, but this lineup can't possibly perform this bad for this long. It makes you wonder if there's something going on that we're not seeing. It's a good thing the pitching and Marcel Ozuna have been so good, or this team would already be out of the race

Not just yet. I'm still confident that they'll heat up enough to stay in the wildcard race. And you really just have to get in to have a chance. It's not like the best regular season team has won all the WS's lately.
But I am currently disgusted by this team, and I'm at the point where I'm not going out of my way to watch games for a little while. Glad I didn't book a trip to Atlanta this summer.

Nice win tonight. Keep in mind that the Braves struggled last May too and still ended up with the best record. The Phillies are really good too, but also haven't faced a difficult schedule.
We will be fine. Being a wild card team may to be too bad anyway given what has happened the last couple of years with the bye.

The last time this happened the Braves won the WS, guess we have to hope that happens again. Really sucks for him though, even when he comes back it will likely take some time to be himself.
