Don't forget to check your values regardless so you aren't leaving money on the table. They didn't pitch that number as a favor to you.

Although looking at the few options on C&B, you might be in a good spot.

No sir I didn't ask as I had zero interest in taking on a project car. I need my garage now to store furniture so the water damaged floors can be replaced.

Yes sir I looked at several auction sites, KBB, Edmunds and a couple of other places. The consensus on those sites was 17K to 18k. I was pretty sure they would try to low ball me for 12K to 15K but was pleasantly surprised at their offer. They made me whole and then some.
