I enjoy the truck races the most usually. Great mix of good, bad, young and experienced drivers. Equipment levels all over the place.

Also good for TMS folks this weekend that the crazy storm front moved in now. Ive probably had 4 or 5 experiences over the last 20 years waking up in a tent of taking shelter from that exact type of heavy front line ripping through during the weekend. Should be awesome weather this weekend

Driving up Sunday morning for the Cup race. Can't wait. Given the lack of excitement from the last two weeks, seems everyone is excited about a Texas race for a change.

The truck race there always reminds me of when Busch got suspended for wrecking Hornaday and didn't race on Sunday.

And you're right about the weather. Looks perfect for the weekend. I still have nightmares of the sound of jet dryers from too many years past just sitting there waiting for the track to dry.

The CW announced it will take over the final eight races of NASCAR Xfinity Series coverage from NBC Sports this fall.

All of the races will be produced by NBC with a booth of Rick Allen, Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton.

My first truck race was at Texas. We drove in from Arkansas. As we were in line to buy tickets, some lady gave us 2 free tickets. We sat on the second deck in turn 1 at the exit to pit road. The race had 3 overtime restarts because they kept crashing in turn 1. It was an awesome race.

Oh yeah that's another thing... If your ticket location isn't great, just go sit anywhere you want at a truck race.

Had no idea there was a race in town this weekend . Drove down 35W at around 3:30 or so and saw the track, parking lots, etc. Didn't look as packed as in the past. Is that right? I mean the Buccee's was crazy, but everything else wa as ho-hum.

They have reduced seating but thought it was a great crowd. Best I've seen in a while. Trucks had a good crowd too.

I know people like to crap on TMS but all 3 races this weekend were good. Hopefully that continues.

Unfortunately I drive all over Texas and back today but during the race I couldn't listen to much. Caught the end and 2 hours of post race. Sounds like the track delivered the goods all weekend. Great to hear.

Today was the largest crowd I've seen in several years at TMS.
Great race. I was worried we were going to have a single file snoozefest about halfway through the first stage. Thankfully the second grove came in.

All in all, a great day, except for my driver, Bowman, going out early.

Why I love the plate races…

Seeing some of the small teams have a chance to actually compete.

Justin Haley and BJ McLeod both in top 8 at moment. Wouldn't see that in a non plate race.
