Fellow announcer: "James Davis of Clemson was helped off the field early in the 2nd quarter, we'll now go to Erin Andrews for an update on his status..."
Fran: "WAIT A MINUTE! We can't do that...We don't discuss injuries unless they are season ending.
Off air: "Do you know how much money we could make selling that kind of information? Cha-Ching!"
they should really take a look at making their qb, who was set state records throwing td passes, run the option. that'll really trick the opposing teams.
also, they should run some trick plays every game, that way the opponent has to prepare for them, regardless of how well we actually perform other plays.
Fran: "Well, that play will have to come back to where the quarterback fumbled it, since you can't gain yardage on a fumble recovery. It sure looked like he fumbled it on purpose, the way he reached back and chunked the ball 20 yards down the field."
ESPN play-by-play guy: "Uhhhh...that was a completed pass to the wide receiver."
"Well, they're down to the last 48 seconds of the game. With 2 times out left and 1st and 8 at their opponent's 20, it looks like their only option is a field goal attempt."
Wow look at that Sanchez. If he stays healthy, he may just have a future in the NFL as a receiver or running back.
Dave Barnett: what do you think about SC's defense? Fran: actually, Dave, I'm going to leave the defensive color commentary in your capable hands . . . I'll have no idea how good you are ,though, unless our ratings are the lowest ever recorded for an ESPN program.
