Also worth mentioning is that the reason that I'm so hacked about this whole thing has little to do with the fact that I was in the band. It is based mainly on the fact that the Big 12 should have no say in where Texas A&M decides to seat the band.

At this point during originally writing the post, I started a little rant about why this is so stupid, but that would not be in the spirit of this thread. This is supposed to be a happy thread and if I want to rant, I'll take it to the other "moving the band" thread. I would advise others to do the same.

I have to admit that I was very short sighted in my initial assessment of this decision. I originally thought it was the stupidest thing I have ever read and thought the Big 12 should have more important things to focus on. However, after reading your letter, I have changed my mind and admit that I was wrong.
