Our offensive game plan in OT didn't make sense. In defense they lost all their shooters so we let Shead drive the lane instead of double him to make him kick it out

Dude played like a maniac the 1st game.

Sometimes shots don't go down. The Cougars didn't let him breathe all night for a reason. He had to take tight shots because thwy weren't letting him get an open look.

Great game by the Ags. That was a really good team and we took it to them all night.

As great as he was this year, if he can work on getting quality shots at will, he could be elite. He lives off catching heaters, and when he's off, he seems like he presses and forces things way too much.

I love Wade. Love his swagger, bravado, fearlessness. I love watching him and am glad he's on our team.

But…. He didn't have a great year. He shot 37/33 pct this season and is a non defender.

Credit the Houston guards and coaching strategy of smothering Wade.

Would have liked to see Carter more involved as Wade was defended closely.

He can be exciting, but his random spurts of complete WTF moments on both ends of the floor are maddening. He also has shown a James Harden-like propensity for disappearing at the most inopportune moments and games (Penn St in the tourney last year, SEC Tourney championship v bama last year, last night). He's fun to watch when he's on, but when he's off its a team killer and it's almost impossible for us to overcome.

Absolutely Clueless! They guarded Taylor so effectively tonight. The guy covering him most had 2 inches and probably 30 pounds on him in a very physical game. He played as well as I could have hoped from that defense.

Wade's a really, really good player . His shot selection could get better tho and he's subject to making some really goofy looking turnovers from time to time as well.

We really couldn't cover Houston's guards. They were penetrating and finding openings and open shooters. That doesn't really mean we were bad defensively imo,
It means they are really good . Shead may be the best player in the country.

He had a bad night shooting because he had the best defender in America on him every step of the way.

And his shooting percentages were low because he had to create damn near all of the offense for this team for large chunks of the year.

Boots was hurt and manny didn't come on till late. His shooting percentages have been great when he had a little help from others.

Wade Taylor is already one of the top 5 Aggie basketball players ever.

When you're among the best, and he was the pre-season SEC player of the year so I think he qualifies as being among the best, you're expected to step up at the biggest times. The adage is "big time players make big time plays in big time games." But 2 years in a row Wade has had his some of his worst performances of the season in the tournament.

If you want to say it's because of the attention he is getting from the defense, that's understandable. But last night in OT, when we needed some clutch, Wade didn't play his best ball.

It's one thing to score 30 on a Wednesday against Missouri in January. It's something different to put your team on your shoulders in OT in the 2nd round of the tournament and will them to win (like Shead did).

Don't get me wrong, I'm Wade positive as he does more good than bad over the course of a season. But it's okay to admit that he has some flaws in his game and to date they have reared their head at the worst possible times.

He will have to add to his game this offseason for us to take another step. His midrange game and ball distribution need to make a leap. That and the wild nonsense out of control plays have to end.
