I was suppose to go today, but my lunch meeting got postpone two weeks.

I had the #5. It was great! The salsa wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be based on the previous posts, but it was very good. I shall try to take a few compadres from work next time.

The waiter asked if I had been there before. I said nope, first time.He asked how I heard about it. I said the internet and he laughed and asked "Texags"? Funny stuff.

I like how small and personal the place is and how congenial the staff are.

I am FINALLY going to try this out. An old friend of mine from elemetary school has recently moved to the metroplex and is staying in Addison. He wanted some good tex-mex, and I told him about El Chap. We are going there for dinner tomorrow.

I hope it lives up to the hype!

So, I'm taking a date there on Thursday, I've been craving some good TexMex.

I went and had the enchiladas suizas and the sopapillas... the sopapillas were great! The enchiladas were ok.

I need to try some of the other stuff, but overall, I would recommend it.

Based on reviews from above I visited this little place. I work near there and had seen it, but had never thought of going in. Anyway, I went, had an enchilada and tamale dinner. I also tried my friend's chicken enchiladas. I have to say, not the best. I would not recommend it. Additionally, the hot sauce was WAY too hot. Even our waiter said it was too hot for him...

So, I'll stick with Tupinambas, Primos, and Ernestos (Garland on NW HWY).

The enchiladas are the worst thing on the menu.

Try anything else and you will love it.

too hot? they have two kinds. if needed, you can ask for the "hot sauce for poosies"

I appreciate the tip received on this site for a restaurant, but I did not enjoy it and will not be returning!

I finally gave in to the revolution and tried the Chap today. took my entire office (6 people) and everyone thought it was fantastic. the salsa was hot but very tasty. we all had enchiladas and there weren't any complaints. thanks for the referral!

I took a couple of my employees out last Monday to The Chap and Juan hooked us up with free nachos and sopapillas.

Skran, thanks for recommending this place. The best cheese enchiladas I've ever had...including at the Pink Adobe in Santa Fe! And, oh, those sopaipillas...

the sopapillas are sick good!
