Really, it would be great to have a wall of Tesla batteries installed and my trainer feed those things.

It looked slightly foggy at US 290-Sam Houston Tollway interchange this morning around 6:30 AM. It appeared to be some small flurries when it was hitting the headlights and windshield.

How inefficient are those compared to an AC in Houston?

The flip side is I'd wager most 3,000 + sq ft homes in Houston using gas to heat their homes instead of electricity to run an AC.....

AC works on heat exchange properties using a condenser. It's still a big power draw, but electric heating is an enlarged hairdryer and that combined with poor insulation usually means really high usage

The commute this morning was quite pleasurable with most of the lazy and frightened staying home. No issues whatsoever.

I was surprised to see some very light snow flurries once I got off BW8.

Well it was also a holiday (not for me) and a lot of people WFH Monday's anyway (me). So I imagine the commute would have been nice regardless....

We've got outdoor showers and toilets with the most ridiculous piping arrangement and they tapped in to it and put a hose line on it before the cutout valve so that is annoying. Really hoping the whole thing doesn't explode over the next 2 days even after we made our preparations. I should have replaced it all with PEX when I replumbed our garage apartment

We have a gas heater as well. It's quite nice to get a bill in the $40-50 range to heat our home for a month versus the $2XX bills in the summer to cool it.

My nextdoor had people saying the tc jester bridge had ice and they almost wrecked. But haven't been there to see myself.

The right lanes of 59 south were starting to ice over at the Brazos River (SL/Richmond) a little while ago when I drove past. Had no other issues coming from the Greenspoint area through downtown into Richmond.

I've been looking at that too and wondering what that is, but I'm not from Katy so I'm not an expert.

Edit: Also, it looks like Mr. Bill has an icy, frozen weenus. Poor guy.

Based on what I'm seeing here in Cypress, I don't think travel will be very safe tomorrow morning for large chunks of the city due to ice on overpasses. We got a pretty solid layer out here and I don't see it melting off today. We'll see.
