Piece of cake for me...watching the lateral sail over Leeland's head at the '94 Cotton Bowl. Close second was the watching INT after INT vs. USL in '96.

Probably losing to Ark. in 1975.

Mark Ferris INT vs. OU in 2000

Just a couple I can think of.

good point about '94 Cotton Bowl.
I had a perfect view of that play as it unfolded.

Ouch....

77-0.

Everything else pales in comparison.

That has to go down as the worst butt whipping handed out in a game between major conference schools in the past 50 years of college football. Any others worse?

For me, the 2002 Tech game.

So many of them.

92, 93, 94 cotton bowls. Tie against SMU in 95 (though Rodney saved it from being much worse). Loss to
Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. Rickey Williams game in 98. Loss to Baylor under Fran. 77-0. Keeping Fran after year 3. Entire Byrne tenure.

Edit: Actually, the SMU tie must have been 94.

Punt return that was fumbled against BYU in 1996 (by Michael Jennings???)

To me that started the groove we are trying to get out of.

Though 1998 was a good year.

I've only been following for 4 seasons but I've got to say the entire 2008 season. First losing at Kyle to Arkansas State then continuing to get our s*** handed to us for pretty much the rest of the season. I never thought I would be happy for football to be over but I just wanted to end the embarrasment.

Wasn't around for the Ark game. There are many - but 77-0 was it for me.

One point loss to Tech at Kyle Field due to inability to kick extra points. Man that sucked.

The Pass Interference Call against Arkansas in 1979 or 1980(?) that was called by the referee who was a piggie graduate. Subsequently, the SWC prohibited referees from working a game for a school from which they graduated.

Had we won that game, most likely our history would have changed significantly.

wasnt a football game, but without football there would be no bonfire.

I was in the 5th grade and remember it like yesterday, my mom never attended A&M, but she bleeds maroon. I walked into her room as I was getting ready for school and she was just sobbing watching the news report. Life changing moment.

1975 was very bad... We drove to College station to watch.

The Greg Hill fumble was probably the worst of them all.

However, the thing that has turned my stomach and made me completely move away and seriously, just not give a damn about A&M football was this.

This by far was the darkest day ever for A&M football.

Sherm is by far the man, just leave him alone. What he has done in 2 years is just short of moving mountains. The NCAA did not give us the death penalty, but fRan came real close...

Arkansas 1975, although I didn't follow the Ags back then.

Ags were on the verge of a national championship and choked it away.

Some of you older guys may have to help me out here, but my Dad refuses to talk about the like '63 or '64 t.u. game where we had an undefeated t.u. team beat and threw it away on an unnecessary lateral in like the last minute. He says it still pisses him off when he thinks about it.

Probably the end of the '98 t.u. game. I was sick already...that just made it worse.

Most disgusting? Three simple words: Iowa State 2005.

The OU "field goal Fran" game in 2006 still makes me sick to my stomach. The fact that we basically did the same thing the following week against NU makes it worse. If we win those two games instead of being heartbroken we're in the Big 12 title game. Those two last-minute breakdowns cost us a lot of pub, money, and recruiting momentum.

That being said, the most miserable I've ever been at an A&M game was ISU in 2005.

I believe the piggie call was in 1989, a 23-22 loss.

Agree on Arkansas '75. A lot of painful recent losses, but that one cost us a national championship. The '76 team may have been even better, but it seemed as if it took them 3 or 4 games into the season to shake off the effects of the disappointment. By the end of the season, they were rolling. So, in my mind (which can't be confused with reality), the Arkansas loss had a big impact on two good seasons that could have been great.

The '63 tu loss cost us what would have been the biggest upset ever at A&M. That one got thrown away twice, once with the lateral mentioned (after an interception near mid-field) and finally with an overruled interception in the end zone, either of which would have ended what turned out to be a game-winning drive very late in the game.

After finally ridding ourselves of Fran and after a week of euphoria about who the next coach would be, then to have Bill B. bring home the sizzlean in M. Sherman. Very hurtful.

The 1992 Cotton Bowl.

I was 14, it was Cold and miserable as we fumbled on the 2, going on to lose 10-2 to a good FSU team.

Missed about 1,242,145 opportunities to win.

Beginning of many years of missed opportunities.

The 2006 season. Start off strong in nonconference. Then we lose 3 games to beatable Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas Tech teams at home all by 3 points or less. Oh what could have been.
