it is located at Alpha and Montfort (SW corner)


they have great tex-mex, it is cheap, and a family run operation. the owner, Juan, is there every day and values every one of his customers. Their quesadillas are one of my favs.

they also have THE BEST sopapillas I've ever had.

isn't the shopping center in the NW corner? right by that indian food place? It seems like I have seen the place you are talking about, but have probably over looked it.

Good stuff. The guacamole was awesome.

I went in and ordered to go the beef quesadillas and Juan handed me the remote to the TV and told me to take a seat. He then brought me a free diet coke. We chatted about the restaurant and what I did. I told him I would have him cater sometime for a meeting at work.

Great food.

I work over in NRH so I sent the fiance over there. She works in the Galleria 3 building and took her whole "team" there and told the owner about Texags. She liked it a lot. Too bad it would take me 45 minutes to get there.

Had the fajitas today. Seriously skran, I gotta stop eating there or I gotta start working out every day for a couple of hours.

Today Juan came up and shook my hand and introduced himself to my coworkers. Later he brought us free sopapillas on the house.

My coworkers were like, how many times have you been here? I told them, only 4 times.......

I recently started a new job in that area 3 weeks ago. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks. It is very good. The only thing I just really didn't care for was the queso. It tasted too much like melted American cheese with a few chunks of peppers in it. Everything else has been very good. The service when I go has been great. I can leave the office, go eat, and be back at my desk in 30 minutes if I want.
