"Bear" from 1984 was about Bear Bryant played by Gary Busey. Some scenes shot on campus. including Busey walking the sidelines during the '83 t.u. game, and a Yell practice at The Grove.

Pigskin Parade. I think it is an old Judy Garland movie. There's a newspaper headline that actually shows Texas State beating A&M.

As discussed on here long ago, the emblem on that ship looks like a "saw-em-off" but was quickly spun into this Urban Legend about the viz lab, etc...

Excuse me, but I went to high school with one of the guys who worked on this, and heard it directly from his mother. I am more inclined to believe a woman I have known personally for years than an internet message board.

Another non-movie reference-

In Happy Days, Richie Cunningham's room decorations includes a Texas A&M pennant.

On an episode of CSI, "BOOM", where Nick Stokes is accused of killing a call girl aquaintance he is in a casino with a an old college friend. When his friend suggests they go to the bar for some more beer Nick begs off and his friend says "Hey, you're off the clock. You'd have never passed up a wild night back at A&M."

There's a Russel Crowe movie called "Proof of Life" about a guy being kidnapped in Columbia by drug lords. In the movie, the guy's from Rice, but in reality, he was from A&M [an ag economics prof, I think] I remember because I worked at the Batt at the time and interviewed him the day he escaped. Dude had been missing for a year, then shows up at his house. He'd ditched the rebels and escaped on foot while they shot at him. The movie totally screwed it up.

Stephen King's "The Stand" mentions a character who played football for A&M

I can't rememebr exactly, but you may be right.....

Dont know if it has already been posted, but the USA series "Over There" about the Iraq war had a young 18 year old marine in the first few episodes that said he joined the army to pay for school at Texas A&M. Said he played football but he didnt get a scholly.

At the end of the first or second episode, he lost his leg in a roadside bomb.

In the Mel Gibson movie "The River", there is a softball scene where Scott Glen has a ATM hat on.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog's Christmas special. Triumph's son interrupts Triumph to say that he wants to be an engineer, he interrupts his dad again a little bit later to tell him he wants to go to Texas A&M. Then his son tells Triumph that he's gay.
