It's easy for people that don't have to account for the money we spend to say let's spend $150K+ (you know that costs have to have gone up since 2006) for something like this. The problem is that the original design was a poor one--the bird problem was not anticipated.
Why waste money on this project now when we are likely to do a significant reconfiguration of the pressbox that might result in this signage being removed? I think the prudent thing to do is wait for the press box renovations and then see if we can come up with something that will be bird proof, still have the same long distance visibility, and fit in with whatever we end up doing.
