Aggies land a signing from the nations top shot putter in Carlie Weiser out of Giddings! She has a PR of 51'1 and a discus PR of 167'3! She will be our top thrower and would be that right now! She has won state every time I'm both events and looks to remain undefeated in the shot put her entire high school career this season and go back to back to back! This is a huge pickup for Coach De La Garza! She is shorter than most but is one of the quickest and strongest throwers you will ever see! Can't wait to see if she can even go higher this track season! Possibly 54+ and 180+ I've seen her foul a 52/53

And with the signing of the McKenzie Fairchild, we land two of the nations best throw recruits and will undoubtedly have a national top shot putter and top javelin thrower in the nation yearly! Her PR is 169 only about 10 feet shorter than her older sister Katelyn PR. With a 2 year age difference! She is also an all state volleyball player so who knows what the limit will be as she focuses full time on javelin! What a signing class by Chico and Pat Henry!

You've gotta remember that A&M can't announce them until they are officially signed sealed and delivered. Even though we are all aware of the commitments, the school can't say anything until things are officially official.

Some sports get them all inked early while some, like track, are spread out.

really love this haul! Weiser and McKenzie gives us the most dominant throwing recruiting haul in the country! Hackett is going to be a monster sprinter that will join Camryn Dickson, Camille Rutherford, Semira Killebrew, Leah Burr and others. I wish we had more 400 runners or hurdlers though. Rylee London is going to be a beast and keeping Shewaye Johnson in state is huge!!

Having Lamara Distin return helps too, I am still surprised at that, but i won't complain lol! I hope GG Edwards can perform well in the long jump as well! Let's hope Abadie makes n improvement in the pole vault as well!
