I had the exact thing happen to me with a radar detector that was stolen from my truck. Found the listing on ebay, then found the guy on myspace. Then bought the item and arranged for local pickup at an HEB adjacent to my office.

When the guy arrived I retrieved my radar detector and the detective and patrol cars came out of nowhere (I had no idea where they were hiding) and arrested the bastage. He told them everything by the time they got back to the station. He cried in the interrogation room, it was sweet music to my ears.

I got my auction money back by filing a complaint to the guy through paypal and telling him that the officers had confiscated the radar detector. He had no idea that the stolen item was mine.

I still do not know if I will prosecute, but do remember that there was a nice Ping club set that vanished along with the bows...chances are they are stolen and I will make sure an officer goes over there and checks things out...if you have recently lost your club set you may be getting them back.

Someone may have already pointed this out, but if you look at Texican's roommate's bow that is on eBay, you can see the golf clubs in the background of one of the pictures (they are leaning against the bed)
