I think it's a good idea. It should help better define who is the best of the rest. Right now you have the big 4 plus Alsono getting all the points. Help sort out who is the best of the lower 5 teams.

I do think they should put some restrictions like:

  • Must finish the race
  • Not get lapped by the top 3.

Could make exceptions for short tracks and wet races.....

In Japan, Max lapped Yuki at the end, so Yuki didn't have to finish the last lap...

COTA is definitely up to something. They did away with most of their hospitality areas except SI and last I looked haven't released new areas. I opted not to get a deposit not knowing what was coming. Not really that worried about going any way. I've been 3 years.

TBH this year seems very boring. It's just F1 and what I assume will be Porsche Carrera. At the very least they get big music headliners for no extra cost but it's hard to get excited for COTA this year
