This thread is dumb, but it's redeeming quality is the fact that some people take it seriously.
I hadn't considered using the GMT to our advantage! I think at least two of the mirrors are already in place!
My materials class did a case study on selecting the best material for supporting a large parabolic mirror. Every junior level MEEN major being forced to run numbers on building a huge mirror... Cooincidence? I think not.
