I never claimed we had elite basketball NIL going, but to pretend we don't have any is just being obtuse
But does it really help you if you are behind the teams you are competing with for players? Sure it helps us beat out Tulsa for a kid. It doesn't help us if the top half the SEC and top half of the Big 12 are after him as we haven't been on their level in the past in NIL for basketball.

He's referring to Harris, looks like. Would be a great get.

Also, the fact that Pope hasn't committed after a visit makes me feel a little better about the door still being open for us. Would still be a longshot though.

Pope and Harris coming to Texas A&M would be HUGE gets for the Ags - if both happened.

The "report" that some think Harris is actually going to commit to the Ags is the first I have heard from any source (even if it IS a poster on the free men's basketball forum).

Both have a couple of years eligibility left - correct?

Well he hasn't publicly committed. Some times they like to keep these things quiet to not scare off others. Guess we will know a little more if he actually shows up at A&M, although we might never know that unless Pope posts on social media he is here

He has some potential. I imagine being Nigerian he probably hasn't played the game terribly long. I would feel good about him if he was not the only big we took.

I always cringe when I see numbers like that, but Andersson Garcia was averaging 4 points and 4 rebounds per game when he transferred here. While those numbers have improved, I think most would agree that his impact goes much further than the box score can possibly outline.
