Fans have bought a socialist structure that demands every athlete is treated the same while coaches and schools make millions off of football or basketball or both. That model is changing and it was anti-competitive and violated federal law according to SCOTUS at least with respect to educational benefits.

The NIL marketplace can't be organized by schools or the NCAA and is structured similarly to International Olympics which certainly is just as competitive and interesting unless you are virtue signaling about amateur athletes that mostly have never existed.

Big one, of course, will be the status of Marble - but, regardless, I think we need another big man as well as a couple of guys who can reliably shoot from outside and hopefully handle the ball.

Surprising and a little bit concerning that the recruiting sites show NOBODY at least "considering" the Aggies for the Classes of 2025 and 2026.

Would expect a large number to leave/exhaust eligibility after this year - though perhaps Taylor and Obaseki will be part of the last class to get an extra year for COVID (or is that done after this next year?).

People will leave. They always do. So I would be surprised if everyone that can come back, does come back.

Yes. It's all dependent on the player's side though because our staff isn't reaching out to media or sites and saying hey we are interested in this kid. So sometimes we absolutely talked about the kid here before, like Dexter Dennis. And then sometimes a kid signs up out of the blue and we had no clue A&M was in in on the kid like Wildens Leveque.

One thing you have to keep in mind is just because A&M made contact with a kid it does not mean A&M told them they have a spot for them. Just like Coach Elko and his staff are going to make contact with a lot of kids they never offered both out of high school and in the portal.

So I think some people make the mistake of thinking oh Buzz wanted this kid, because our staff reached out, and he chose Tulane over us.
