I hate to rain on anyones parade, but all of this has essentially been done.

The athletic department has done all of the preliminary planning to start this project, they are just waiting on the funding. The 12th Man Foundation has set up for directed giving for lighting the letters.

All that really needs to be done is push people to donate money to the TMF and direct the funds for relighting Kyle Field. Once they hit their golden number, work will start in earnest.

If the fund has been set for direct giving, then it has not been publicized well.

I think we are just trying to give it more OOMPH!!!

Letters were inspected this afternoon from high atop the Kyle Field pressbox. Those big boys are 10' wide and 18' tall! The job looks fairly straight forward with no real surprises. The only question is whether to put neon back in them with better protection against birds and bats (there is none there now) or to go with higher priced high-output led illumination. Numbers are being crunched...
